Things have been relatively quiet on the Wine and Cheese (Doodles) front of late. Hopefully for good reason.

For the past few months I’ve been culling and cutting and revamping and revising, with the eventual goal of piecing together a Greatest Hits collection. Wonder Twin powers activate, form of a book.

Phew. Thank God that’s done.

Yesterday the work culminated when There’s Some Place Like Home: Lessons From a Decade Abroad went live on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle formats. A long-held goal achieved, with a lot of work, a tremendous support network, and a lot of friends, both blood and bone and virtual, cheering me on.

There’s Some Place Like Home is, I hope, a view to a life lived outside your own end zone. It’s ten years of stories and anecdotes. It’s the good, the bad, and the ugly bits of living abroad.

I’m so excited to share it with you all.

I’d love to say I’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming soon, but–well, I’m trying to finish another book at the same time. Plus, you know, Christmas.
